Ready to Read story hour

All libraries offer Ready to Read story hour programs and we here at West side would like to invite you to ours held weekly on Tues, Wed and Sat at 11 a.m. Next weeks theme will be Summer so our program which includes songs, story telling and crafts will revolve around Summer. Bring the whole family and have some fun at your library.

Let's build a bird feeder....

For next weeks SRC program held on Wednesday at 5:30 we will be making a bird feeder out of popsicle sticks. All supplies will be provided of course, see you next week!

Saturday Movie 6/24/17 at 12:00 pm

The Westside library will be showing movies again this Summer starting next Saturday June 24, 2017. Due to movie licensing agreements we cannot publicly advertise what movie it is but it rhymes with Cootie and the Feast ;) We will be giving freshly made popcorn to all who show up for the movie and you can bring your own drinks if you want. Hope you can join us. We will see you at the movies!!! **Movies will be held once a month on the last Saturday of the Month**

Let's get rolling....

Join us this Tuesday at 4:00 pm for our Teen Summer Reading Club program. We will be making race cars that actually move with a little balloon help. Bring your friends and see who can make the coolest/fastest one.

We made marshmallow toothpick towers!!!

Our 2017 Summer Reading Club is under way and this past Wednesday we made marshmallow toothpick towers to go with this years theme, "Build a better world". We decided to have a contest to see who could make the tallest tower stand on its on with out any help. Here are the results: If you did not have an opportunity to make it out this past week, we will be having more activities weekly on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm. Next week we will be making a bird feeder. Wanna get rid of your overdue fines?

          The El Paso Public Library will erase overdue fines for anyone who signs up for the 2017 Summer Reading Club (SRC), so long as their library materials have been returned. It’s part of a Read Down Your Fines program designed to give kids, as well as adults the opportunity to come back to the library and prevent Summer learning loss. Patrons can pledge to read down their fines by registering in person at any branch or online through the Wandoo Reader database. Once registered, patrons will take their registration form, voucher, or show proof on an electronic device to the circulation desk to have overdue fines waived. Fine waivers for registering for the summer reading club may ONLY be applied to outstanding balances from the following bill types: overdues. Waivers will NOT be applied to damaged, missing barcodes, lost items, ILL holds fees, non-resident fees, or card replacement fees. Fines accrued at the Jenna Welch/Laura Bush Library ar

Kids SRC programs will be held every Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 PM. Teens SRC programs will take place Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00 PM
