You Missed It! Visit from Santa

On December 22, Santa visited the library! First, we read stories with Mrs. Carmen, then Santa arrived with his elves and gave out a present to every child that came to see him. Not only was there Santa, but Papa John's brought us pizza for the Holiday party! After meeting with Santa, families made glittery snowflakes. Wish you were here!

Today in Westside Library History: Fundraising for new library, 1977

Today in Westside Library history: Library Opens Westside Branch

The Westside Branch Library was first opened on Saturday, December 9, 1978. The library was run out of a trailer in the Westside Park Recreational area. It had one librarian, Margaret Burlingame, and two assistants, Grace Medrano and Ivo Gomez. The library was funded through used book sales from the Friends of the Westside Library. You missed it! Winterfest Celebration at Westside

On December 1, the library had a Winterfest program. We made snowman ornaments and lots of "Holiday Slime!" It was ooey-gooey fun! Wish you were there! Check out our upcoming programs online at the website calendar .
